About The Review Generalist

Who runs this site

The Review Generalist is an independent website operated by Sanderson Gurgel, an individual publisher based in Brazil. There is no large editorial board or lab behind it; reviews are researched and written by the site's operator, following the method described on our How We Review page.

What we do

We write plain-English reviews of consumer products that people search for online, from car gadgets to home and tech products. Each review explains what the product is, how it works, who it suits, who should skip it and what to check before buying.

How we make money

The site is reader-supported through affiliate commissions. When you buy through some of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Two honest consequences follow:

• We have a financial interest when you click, and no disclosure fully removes that. That's why we're open about it.
• Commissions don't depend on what we conclude, but we can only earn on products that have affiliate programs, which influences what we choose to cover.

What we are not

We are not the manufacturer, distributor or seller of any product we review. We don't take orders, process payments, ship products or handle returns and refunds. For anything about an order, please contact the seller directly; they can help you much faster than we can.

Corrections

If you think something in a review is wrong or out of date, please contact us. We review every correction request and update pages when needed.
